The Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone launches a "3.15" special rectification and publicity campaign to safeguard consumer safety.

In response to the call of "3.15" International Consumer Rights Day, and to severely crack down on counterfeit and substandard goods and protect the legitimate rights and interests of residents and tourists, the Special Economic Zone Management Committee organized a "3.15 Special Rectification and Publicity Campaign." The campaign focused on food and daily necessities, categories closely related to the health and safety of residents and tourists, with large supermarkets and department stores within the zone as the core inspection targets.

The inspection team adhered to the principle of "education first, punishment second," implementing a balanced approach: businesses selling near-expiry goods were ordered to rectify and dispose of them within a specified period; businesses violating regulations were punished according to the severity of the offense.

On "3.15" day, multiple departments of the Special Economic Zone jointly set up publicity booths in comprehensive markets, hung banners in supermarkets and farmers' markets, distributed bilingual (Chinese and Mandarin) leaflets to passersby, and explained consumer rights protection knowledge and food safety precautions. Simultaneously, they utilized online and television platforms to popularize relevant laws and regulations among residents and tourists, strengthening public awareness of consumer rights protection.

The Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone has always adhered to the principle of "strict inspection and prevention," established a regular monthly inspection mechanism, organically combined supervision and inspection with knowledge dissemination and publicity, continuously improved the food and daily necessities safety supervision system, and effectively strengthened the consumer safety defense line in its jurisdiction.
