Overview of the Special Economic Zone

The Golden Triangle Economic Zone of Laos is located in Dunpeng County, Pocho Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, at the border of Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, with a total area of approximately 100 square kilometers. The Special Economic Zone was established in 2010 and is a national level economic zone approved by the Laotian government.

Relying on the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the Special Zone gives full play to its regional advantages and is committed to building an important platform for economic and trade cooperation, tourism culture and investment development in Southeast Asia, which plays an important role in Laos' national economic development strategy.
