The Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone of Laos, together with the Xishuangbanna Waterdrop Project charity team from China, donated supplies to impoverished villages in Dongpeng County, Laos.

On August 1, 2016, the Management Committee of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Laos, in conjunction with the Xishuangbanna Waterdrop Project charity team from China, conducted a charitable donation activity to relatively underdeveloped villages in Dongpeng County, Laos, providing local villagers with daily necessities and school supplies.

This charitable activity received high attention from the Dongpeng County Party Committee and Government, as well as strong support from the residents of the Special Economic Zone. Led by Inkham Chounali, Director of the Dongpeng County Government Office, a delegation including Chen Tao, a representative of the Management Committee, and Yang Fang, head of the Xishuangbanna Waterdrop Project charity team, made a special trip to Sanxi Village and Huaiyong Village in Dongpeng County to finalize the donation, ensuring that the donated supplies, jointly raised by the residents of the Special Economic Zone and the charity team, were accurately delivered to the villagers. The donated supplies included over 1,800 pieces of bedding and clothing, 15 boxes of bottled water and dairy products, 1,740 textbooks, as well as various school supplies and food, with a total value of approximately 69 million kip.

"Harmony and Beauty in Yongping, Walking Together with Kindness" is the initial aspiration of this charitable initiative, and also a responsibility and obligation. In the future, the Special Economic Zone Management Committee will continue to carry out various charitable activities, and sincerely hopes that more people of insight will join the ranks of public welfare, contributing their love and warmth to the underdeveloped villages surrounding the Special Economic Zone, and helping to improve the lives of local people.
