On November 12, 2025, a delegation led by Win Lin, Deputy Director-General of the Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar, paid an official visit to the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Bokeo Province, Laos.
During the visit, the delegation held a border inspection debriefing meeting with Sonaly, Deputy Director of the National Border Office of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the Lao National Border Committee. They exchanged in-depth views on improving the convenience of international border crossings and promoting bilateral trade and people-to-people exchanges, and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Golden Triangle International Border Crossing of the Special Economic Zone, learning about the development blueprint of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone as a key development city in the Mekong River Basin of Laos, and the achievements of Laos's long history and culture combined with modern development in the new era.
