On December 7, 2025, the second "Golden Triangle Cup" Basketball Invitational Tournament of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Laos successfully concluded after ten days of intense competition. The Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone team won the championship, the Jinghong City Education and Sports Team took second place, and the Golden Triangle Group team won third place. Player Robbie was awarded the "Most Valuable Player" title for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
During the awards ceremony, Khamsawong, Director of the Special Economic Zone Administrative Authority, presented the award to the champion team; Mr. Ding, President of the Special Economic Zone Basketball Association, presented the award to the runner-up team; and Mr. Chen, Member of the Special Economic Zone Management Committee, presented the award to the third-place team.
The Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone Basketball Association plans to hold the "Golden Triangle Cup" Basketball Invitational Tournament annually during the Kapok Festival, aiming to promote the development of sports in Bokeo Province and the Special Economic Zone and facilitate regional cultural exchange.
