The Lao-China Fujian Chamber of Commerce was established in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone.

  On November 18, 2015, the inaugural meeting and first members' representative meeting of the Lao-China Fujian Chamber of Commerce were held in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone. The meeting received enthusiastic participation from Fujianese entrepreneurs across Laos, with 65 member representatives from Vientiane, the capital, as well as Luang Namtha, Luang Prabang, Bokeo, Oudomxay provinces, and the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone gathering together for this grand event.

  Song Li, Deputy Secretary of the Bokeo Provincial Party Committee, Zong Xi, Vice Governor of Bokeo Province, Zhao Wei, Chairman of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone Management Committee, Ding Guojiang, Secretary-General of the Lao-China General Chamber of Commerce, and Tian Jingfeng, Deputy Secretary-General, were among the guests invited to attend the meeting and witness the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce.

  The meeting reviewed and approved the relevant articles of association and completed the election of the leadership. Chen Xiongguan was elected as the first president of the Lao-China Fujian Chamber of Commerce, Cui Shengguang was elected as the secretary-general, and Zhao Shouqi was elected as the chairman of the board of supervisors.

  Vice Governor Zong Xi of Bokeo Province delivered a speech at the meeting, extending his heartfelt congratulations on the establishment of the Lao-China Fujian Chamber of Commerce. He placed high hopes on the Chamber of Commerce's development, wishing it to fully leverage its role as a bridge and link, uniting the strength of Fujianese entrepreneurs, promoting economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchange between Laos and Fujian, China, and contributing to local economic development.

  The participating members unanimously stated that Laos's reform and opening-up policies are deepening, and investment hotspots such as the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone are constantly emerging, possessing enormous development potential. In the future, the Chamber of Commerce will seize this favorable opportunity, leading member companies to gradually expand from industries such as agriculture and mining into high-value-added industries such as commerce and tourism, helping to drive the local economy to achieve leapfrog development.
